5 years ago my partner and I were looking for a church that would give us the spiritual leadership that would fulfill our needs. We had attended a few other churches and did not feel comfortable. Our situation is somewhat unusual in the fact that we are two women who are raising two boys. My partner and I wanted to expose our boys to a church that would accept all of us, as we are a family.
Father Rex accepted us with open arms. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease all the time. Our oldest son Ben was so enamored with Father Rex that Ben learned to acolyte. Rex always had a big bear hug when you walked in the door.
Two years ago my mother passed away. This was a very difficult time for me. Father Rex came to my house and was so understanding and loving in so many ways. He made a difference in my grieving process.
My partner and I were raised to believe in god and to worship god. There are many ways to do this. Father Rex showed me the many ways to go about believing in god and to know that god is always there for you like Father Rex is there for so many people. I consider Father Rex a gentle giant who is so giving and willing to share himself with everyone.
In a time when the world is so ever changing and people need a spiritual leader Father Rex is the man who would be the person I would choose. His gentle demeanor and spiritual beliefs are impeccable.
A church would be so spiritually enlightened to have Father Rex as their spiritual leader. His way of giving is so loving and gentle and in the process a gift to anyone who is willing to receive this guidance.
